About Nancy Shuler
Nancy Beth Shuler has painted in oils since a little girl. Growing up in Silicon Valley overlooking San Francisco Bay provided ample opportunity to paint at her easel at any opportunity. Art has always enthralled her to identify what she finds beautiful. Her passion for life is expressed in music and visual art.
Nancy studied in Italy at La Macina di San Cresci Artist Fellowship in Tuscany. The rich heritage of the world’s artists past and present stimulate her to grow. Nancy is a recent Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate and has begun her career as a professional fine artist. She expresses inspiration through constructing a motif, using primal forms and design elements. She paints portraiture, landscape, and abstract in oil paint.
Her favorite artists are from the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist era. Cezanne, Van Gogh, Monet, Gaugin. She continues to learn from artists past and present, and depends upon The Dayton Society of Artists for support and critique.
She has had an exhibition at The Dayton Art Institute, and Front Street Galleries, and Arbogast Performing Arts Center since graduation.
